The Ulster Museum’s Outreach Programme is underway across Northern Ireland while the museum is closed for a 30-month refurbishment programme. As part of this programme, Ballymoney Library is hosting an exhibition entitled ‘The Natural World’ for members of the public to view from Monday 3rd March to Wednesday 30th April (inclusive).
This panel display illustrates the breadth of the natural science collections - plants, animals, fossils, minerals and rocks - given by or bought from generations of natural history enthusiasts, both amateur and professional, over the last 200 years. The Museum's collections contain specimens not only from Northern Ireland, but also from farther afield, reflecting the interests and travels of local collectors.
Admission to this display is free. Everyone welcome.
