Maghera Library (Church Street, 028 7964 2578) is organising a bus trip to the Ulster American Folk Park and its Centre for Migration Studies in Omagh on Tuesday July 29th 2008.
The museum is dedicated to the story of emigration from Ulster to America in the 18th and 19th centuries and provides its visitors with a living historic experience on its outdoor site. The Centre for Migration Studies (CMS) was established in 1998 and its specialist reference library is open to the public for research.
If you are interested in tracing your family’s roots or simply enjoying this living historic experience, you’re more than welcome to come along. Please note: bus cost is £10 per person and the Folk Park cost is £5 per person (Child/Senior Citizen £3); the bus will leave Maghera Library at 10.00am on Tuesday 29th to arrive at the Folk Park at 11.30am; bus will leave Folk Park at 4.00pm to return to Maghera Library at approx. 5.30pm; a deposit of £5 will be required for the bus and all monies will be collected in the library prior to departure.
