You may join the library if you are living, working or studying in Northern Ireland.

Whether you complete the form online or go to your nearest library to join you will be required to produce current proof of your name and address.

The following are examples of the forms of identification we accept -  

• Driving licence

• Identity card

• Medical card

• Pension book

• Savings account book

• Rent book

• Tenancy agreement

• Welfare benefits book

• Bill (from official body)

• Letter/card forwarded by library staff 

Children under 16 will also be asked for a guarantor's signature. This signature is usually provided by a parent or guardian.  

This site allows you to register yourself online, a quick way to become a member of your local library.   

Remember 

On your first visit to a library you will also be required to produce current proof of your name and address.
